Pam is a special education teacher and administrator born and raised in Brazil. She holds a BA from Calvin University, an MS from the University of Bristol, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Special Education at Michigan State University.
Pam focuses on special education for multilingual learners, exploring assessments and decision-making strategies before formal identification for special education support. Her research interests include reading and writing assessments, and multi-tiered systems of supports (MTSS).
She has and continues to work with state-level education leaders to use state level student achievement data to best inform state-level, district-level, and school-level decisions.
